ABOUT US

"We live here together with our animals: chickens that happily scratch around and ask for food, rabbits, cats that secretly try to slip into the garden room for some attention, and of course Ayla, who is always close by."
We are Sarah, Victor, Juliette and Ayla!
Victor is Mexican-American and found his way to Belgium, where he's the father of Juliette. He feels most at home with his hands in the soil. He also has a deep passion for yoga and slow-roasted coffee.
Juliette has a big heart for animals and a deep connection with horses. She's surprisingly caring with children and always willing to help.
Sarah is following her childhood dream and lovingly building her own natural paradise full of scents, colors, flavors, and life – a place where plants, animals, and people can feel at home. A place where she herself can escape the hustle and bustle.
Ayla is our dog—half street dog, half border collie—and she might bark a bit out of uncertainty at first, but her curiosity soon overcomes her fear. Before you know it, she'll come sniffing around and begging for a pet. She's sweet, smart, and always up for a game.
Tides of the seasons
We slowly awaken from our winter haze to the loud croaking of brown frogs and toads, and then the green frog. We stretch out while we hear the chirping of baby birds—time to wake up! We dig our hands into the soil, sow, and plant. Finally, I can scatter the flower seeds I've collected on all our walks. After sowing, I walk outside every morning to see if anything has germinated yet—I wouldn't miss that for anything.
Our garden explodes in the summer. It's buzzing! We work hard and refresh ourselves in the swimming pond. The longer daylight hours energize us. Campers, the dogs, guests, family, and all their children create a pleasant, lively atmosphere.
In autumn, we harvest the last of the fruits and vegetables. It's the season of rich, rusty, and golden colors, and that fresh air so welcome after a hot summer. We slow down—along with the garden—and prepare for rest.
Winter brings short days and practically invites us into hibernation. Although, we finally have time for all the indoor chores, which we rarely have time for with gardening. Yet, we sometimes allow ourselves to settle down by the fire before we – just like the garden – slowly drift off to sleep .

"We love to spend a lot of time outdoors and admire each season. That helps us to slow down every now and then – to live more consciously.
